Vineyards: Yiftah vineyard from the upper Galilee and wild Carignan from Judean slopes.
Verities: Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignan.
Soils: Terra Rossa and Rendzina
Altitude: 250-550 meter above sea level.
Vinification: Selective hand harvest separately for each variety. Moderate temperature fermentation, free run wine only, and aging in large oak barrels for 20 months. Finally, the wine was bottled and aged for at least another 30 months.
Tasting notes: extraordinary wine from all aspects of intensity, complexity, quality and aging potential. Full body with perfect balance of flavors and aroma alongside impressive delicacy. Only 3000 bottles were produced from this rare label.
Recanati Winery was established in 2000 by Lenny Recanati and Uri Shaked. Their aim was to create a new winery which would produce original, quality Israeli wine. The winery’s philosophy is to produce local and original wines, wines that will best express the local terroir.
